Polyurethane Trac-Bar Bushings, question...

I am pretty sure the answer is yes, but the replacement urethane bushings for a trac-bar will "move" some like rubber right?



I'm seeing evidence the bushings are moving (clean spot in the dirt) that indicates they are moving about 1/64" to 1/32". As far as I can tell, the bolts are not moving. I have triple checked the tightness of the bolts, and they are as tight as I can get them with a 1/2" breaker bar (I'm not small).

steved. Yes they do move some, but are stiffer than stock rubber so they move less. I rebuilt the front suspension of our '92 CTD with all urethane, where applicable, about 3 years ago, 40,000 Miles or there about. No problems what so ever. The torque is supposed to be 95 Ft Lbs on the '92 per Dodge Service Manual. What model year do you have? It may be the same torque value. You may need to look up the torque specs online.

I installed the bd track bar kit on my '98 2500 4x4 about 3 weeks ago. AWSOME! I can not express enough how much It tightened up my front end. Solid steel brand might be an easier install due to the smaller mounting bracket. BD needs three holes to be drilled [(1) 3/4", (2) 9/16 holes]. Seemed like overkill to me. BD was a top quality kit though.
