A "new" truck for the Ram to play with...

Scott Muni died

How hard is it to replace? I replaced the serpintine belt and now it is screaching when I hit the go pedel hard. I was told by a mechanic that the tensioner needed to be replaced. Now the belt is starting to leave little bit of rubber powder on things, so need fixed soon. If it is easy i will do it myself. any help would be appreciated.

piece of cake

Shouldn't be that hard if it has the v-6 in it. I beleive it takes a 3/8 ratchet to get the tension off the belt then probably a 13 or 15 MM wrench or socket to get in there. Should only have 1 bolt through the center. If it's the 4 cyl. let me know and i'll get you specific instructions, PM me if needed.
