I am puzzled at why I am getting worse fuel milage with my ez. I got 17. 1 mpg empty the first tank ( This might be because of testing out the ez :-laf ). The second tank I got 17. 9 but I thought I was driving normal. The third tank I got 17. 4. Before all this I was getting 18. 5-19.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why I am getting worse fuel milage? I thought an ez was suppose to give you better fuel milage.

Fuel Mileage

TMills,

My 1999. 5 truck is similarily equipped and I have almost always gotten between 17. 5 - 18. 5 mpg. Slightly less on Winter fuel. I think I tend to use the extra power the EZ makes and possibly my mileage suffers slightly. I don't think the numbers you're seeing sound too unrealistic.

Good Luck.

I had the same problem. I found out my right foot was to blame.

Try the low setting on the EZ, this might help a little.

While my truck is a 2003 SO, I have similar experience and MPG numbers as you describe. The thing even more than that, it has my truck computer tricked into thinking that it is at 20 MPG or better! Actual hand calculated mileage is in the 16-17 range. Oh well, the price of the power... . I love it!
