Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) "Poor Man's" oil sample port?

Has anyone come up with a "poor man's" oil sample port? I would like to get into oil sampling without adding any bypass filters or snaking a tube down the dipstick tube.



Am I making this too hard? Or is it easy to add an inline port somewhere?
