It is now mid-July and I have not yet regained the

2-3 mph that I usually lose every winter. My 1993

3/4 ton has 165K and I'm wondering if the injectors need to be serviced. If this is not the solution, then what? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

A decent dose of a good diesel injector cleaner added to the fuel, as well as a conditioner such as Standyne or Power Service would be a good place to start...

You might want to check pump pin movement. They sometimes stick or freeze up. Pull diapham/shaft, lube with little grease and install. Take truck for burn and pull again. Check to see wear mark on shaft were grease is. If you don't have full or almost full travel mark on pin, then pump pin is stuck. If stuck, soak with penatrating oil and work with bent pick to free up.

good luck
