I have an 03 with leather and heated seats along with and 01 with the premium cloth seats. The one flaw I notice with the 03 is that the seat bottom seems about 2 or 3" shorter than in the 01. I really notice the difference on a long drive. 6' 190 here.

I have an 04. 5 Laramie and I wish the seat bottoms were about 2-3 inches longer. They make my knees ache after a few hrs of driving. Never had that problem in my 97 1500. Then again maybe I'm just complaining more these days. :confused:

I hate my truck!

I have a 04 fully loaded with leather. I HATE MY SEAT! Damm thing pokes me in the right side of my butt. I'm 6'2" 125. Had it to the dealer twice. First time they modified the seat cushion. It helped but still no good. 2nd time they replaced the seat cushion and now its worse :{ . I can sit in the passenger seat for hours just fine. I keep telling them it's the seam in the leather on the right side of the seat. Now I'm dealing with the manager. 2 weeks and no call. Guess I'm gona have to pay her another visit. It’s a sad day when you pay over 40k for a truck and you can’t stand to sit in it for more than 10 minutes.

I have an 03 with the same problem. Spent 9 hours driving it yesterday and the bars were digging in to my legs so bad I couldnt stand it. Local dealer just shrugs when I mention it and says to make an appointment. Local upholstery shop wants $195 to rebuild the seat. :{

I agree that the seats could be better. I have the delux cloth seats and found that by adding Geno's Sheep Skin seatcovers the long rides became much easier. The seat covers do not have a cut out for lumbar support wheel, but you can still reach in and adjust it.

I have a Laramie and the seats feel great!

That is one reason I upgraded to the Laramie when I ordered my 06.

Especialy the back seat. My daughter is now 12. Earler this summer she complained about a lump in the back seat, she was feeling what was under the seat! I put a pillow under where she sits and it worked fine.

We were checking out the seats in the 06 and I noticed that with the cloth back seats I would have the same problem. In fact at 235 lbs I was feeling the bottom of the floor it felt like when I sat back there. With the leather the seat feels more firm.

They have an 06 slt on the lot that would work for what we do, but I will continue to wait for my Laramie just to get the leather. (its been over 11 weeks now since I ordered it)
