Pop Up ad

Didn't think I would ever get to disscussion forum. Stupid "banner ad' just took control and covered up everything. Not good mr modorater! :-{}

I havent ran into any popups? Maybe get a popup blocker, there free ya know!

Ya that happened to me a couple of times, I think it's browser issue. If I close the browser and re-open it it's fine.

yea mine does it everynow and then. Seems it's only a couple different vendors banners that do it. When i go for the disscuscion form tab the banner will hide a couple of the fourms behind it.

When i mouse over the dicussions forums it will come down and a banner will be in the way and i have to refresh.

We don't have any pop up ads - if you have pop up ads coming up it's something on your PC. What you may be talking about is the banner ad at the top of the page and the fact that on a couple of them (currently) they appear in front of the menus at the top of the page. This was asked about a couple days ago here - https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?t=167806 . That is a browser bug and there's nothing we can do about it. In some browser they'll display flash images above everything else - including javascript based menus like we use at the top of the page. Hopefully they will fix this in future browsers.

Glad I'm not the only one. It covers up the drop down menus so you cannot navigate to them.



You have to diable Java and few other things as well as block pop ups.



It did not use to do that?

Two advertisers are using flash ads currently - it will only happen on two of the currently 55 ads. It also happens on our chat page - the menu drops down behind the chat window. Like I said above it's a bug in some browsers and hopefully will be fixed in future versions.
