I tried some of the free ones and wasn't impressed, kept on getting error messages. Downloaded this one http://www.meaya.com/?xfx for a free trial and would have bought it except that my IPS, Earthlink, started offering theirs for free that works excellent.

I use IE6 and just go into "Tools" "Internet Options" then set both Security and Privacy to maximum settings. Very few popups appear. The downside is it stops Java or something so it affects some sites, and after you log onto TDR it immediately doesn't recognize you when you go to another page.

Try a different browser. I use Mozilla (mozilla.org) exclusively on both my WinXP (Yuck!) box and my Linux box (Linux, Part of the GNU generation). Mozilla comes with a built in pop up blocker. Don't get Mozilla's twin, Netscape 7, as it does not have a pop up blocker as Netscape is owned by AOL.

You might also try CookieCop 2 (pcmag.com) to block pop ups, cookies and web sites that you don't want on your computer.

pop up

i ran across one not to long ago, it's------ myway.com----no pop ups', no spam, and free, over a million users so far. try it , it might be what you are looking for.

a guy at work got me using this thing called MyIE2. Do a search on the internet, you will find it.

Its a program you install, and it runs on top of the MS internet Explorer engine. Very much like IE plus a bunch of other options.

All you do is click on the Icon MyIE2 instead of MS explorer. All your favorites will be there from IE.

At first I had a couple popup windows, but then they stopped.

I use Mozilla

You can turn off ALL unrequested windows. No more popups at all now. No if I could just get it to get rid of the junk mail and crap left on my door knob.
