popping in front end. linkage?

Occasionally when I an stopped or moving very slow I hear a pop in the front end when I turn the wheel to the left. Does it in both forward and reverse. Anybody got any ideas?

check u joints ball joints and tie rods

Front axle cross joints. Look for Rust colored dust on them.



It happened to me twice.

check the track bar bolts, if kinda loose it will slip in the hole and bang. i know for a fact

sounds like left front u joint to me. just did mine yesterday. i used neapco part# 3-0485

Check trackbar. Mine was doing that, some red locktite and torque on upper bolt solved the problem.

Concur with trackbar. Need to tighten the bolt on the driver's side at the frame.
