The answer

I fought this for about 8 months. Mark gave you the answer. You know your rail is not running dry so it's too much timing. Send your TST back in to them and get the user adj timing feature. The TST/BDDL stack is way over what you can run timing wise. When you get your TST back turn it down to just 3* and see if that doesn't do it,. . if not then turn it to "0*". I would bet one of those two settings will fix your problem. Fixed mine. :D

And too much cylinder pressure ='s what????

Blown headgaskets and loss of compression. :D I am not trying to scare anyone. Just sharing based on my first hand knowledge of what mine did. Not what I assume can happen

I had an issue like this once with the tst and bullydog stack. with the tst on 4/4 and bullydog on 90hp performance setting. I had Brady at II upgrade my cp3 to a stage 2 and it took care of the problem. My truck sounded like a pop corn machine in the upper rpm only when i was on the pedal real hard and was approaching higher rpm. pop pop pop. I think it was realated to rail pressure dropping. Since then with the modded cp3 I have not heard the noise anymore.

hope this applies to your situation or helps.

Just trying to share my real world experience that I have been able to back up. So, get ready to spend money. Get TST to upgrade your box. Then get ready to spend 1300-1400 on a modded pump. If it still pops, get ready to pull the head

that about sums it up.

Well like I said... I'm really at a road block until I get a new pump anyway, so might as well be now. I just got my TST back from them... after they had it for a month, so it has a new harness on it. But listen to this, they said that even though I bought it back in August, that it is too old to be upgraded with all the new features. I guess PDR sent me one that had been lying around for a while...
