I would like to know how all of you that read the "porting and polishing" thread liked it. Did it help you in any way? Did it confuse you? Was it clear enough?

Would you like to see one on the intake side components?

thank you.

Dave

I liked it ... but it convinced me that I will probably pay a pro (you) to do it for me. :D I just don't think my little dremel tool would be up to it.

Carl

Dave, I enjoyed it. You put in a good deal of time writing it and we all appreciate that.

I would like to read a similar one regarding the intake side.

Jay

Yes Dave, do one on the intake side also. Really enjoyed the first one, and I am planning on implementing your suggestions when I install the 16 and HX35. Probably be bending your ear on that too.

Pat

Great article Dave. Keep them coming.

I'm with Carl. You will be getting any work of that type I need done.

Thank you for your replys, but I would like to make it clear that I didn't do the artical to drum up business, I did it to help those that want to do-it-themselfs.

but I would be happy to do the work for you that want it done.

I seem to have aquired a subject for the "intake side" work. So that will happen as soon as he desides to have it done. If he has it done that is.

So stay tuned

Dave

Dave,

really enjoyed the article/ thread about the port and polish. I just did the manifold, leaving the exit side bigger than the last one (i. e. porting the head side of the manifold so it is bigger than the head; hot side of the turbine housing bigger than the outlet from the manifold, etc. ) Didnt notice any real change in EGT or boost, but it does seem to spool a LITTLE faster, and cooldown is a LITTLE shorter. Overall, I think I did ok. BTW- I used a Dremmel. :D  Your instructions were concise and thorough. Pictures were good, for the most part, though i think one or two were mixed around- dont worry, it happens as one gets older ;) Think I'll leave head porting to a pro, though.
