Would a ported stock manifold lower your egts as much as an ATS manfold? Will spoolup improve?

It will help. The ATS three-piece will flow better than the OEM, however... ... ... you can net the same as or similar flow from the ported/polished OEM when compared to the non ported/polished ATS. Yes,the ATS unit requires much work to gain max flow.

You might shoot a PM to HDM48 about this. He does porting on both stock and ATS manifolds. He has seen some new ATS manifolds that I believe he told me were actually more obstructed than the stock manifold.

He did my stock manifold, exhaust housing, compressor housing, turbo elbow and intake horn. Spoolup is WAY faster and my EGTs are way down. I have turned my fuel up alot since the porting.

Was it worth it ... every penny!

Dave Miller (HDM48) did my ATS and he took about 3/16ths out of it to port match to the head was a very rough casting but much improved afterwards.
