Hi guys, my brother just got a 2005 dodge and is getting the p1222 code with the grid heater light on. I see robs and source in clackamas as shops. Any advice where to go? Thanks Tim

Grid heater light on means the high pressure system is leaking off pressure, and the CP3 cannot hold the proper pressure in the rail. Possible injector time or leaking connector tubes. That shop really missed the boat with an APP.

We will try to work with Source, do you think pulling the injectors and paying to have tested or just get a reman bosch set from Genos is wise? I could not see the photos on your injector change post. Thanks Tim

This is just a shot in the dark and a long way for you to go. But there is a local radio show on radio 770 saturday mornings in seattle called the northwest auto show. You call in and the guy gives you advise over the radio. As he says, over the radio advise is worth what you pay for it. (free). But you can also call him up at the shop any week day (Performance Prep in Federal Way Wa). If it doest have what he thinks is good advise, he will refer you to Chuck Arnold at Plateau Diesel in Enumclaw. Probably the best diesel guy in the pnw.

If you google radio 770 seattle, you can easily find the web site and listen to the show live on saturday. Or you can just google
performance prep in federal way and find the direct number. Just an idea.

Hi, I have the photos you need. Can you PM me an email address and I'll send it to you. I got it off this site. It has the descriptions and photos. Herb

Thank you Herb. Joe gave me the issues to look in for the photos. My brother lives in Estacada and he will try to work with Source to get to the heart of this issue. I tried to go through Rip, but he was unavailable, and this may be the key to resolving this thing. People are busy and we must learn patience, that said, we do like work done right. My brother is a real good mechanic and could tackle the injectors, it is weather he has the time, he is trying to make a living! Tim

Wow, Estacada! I lived on River Mill Rd as a teen. Never see that name much anywhere. I just went fishing at North fork last week and we limited out on trout! I'm in Sandy nearby. Small world. Let me know if I can be a help.

Update, Source has had the truck a week and can't figure it out. Put a Smarty on it, but to no avail. Fuel system checked ok, so maybe it is a dealer issue. Again, a p1222 code and grid heater light on with dings about 10 times. Tim

Hey bob, where would I look for that service bulletin? On this site? Source has been trying, but I sure someone has had this issue. Thanks, bob, Tim
