I had a slight 3rd gear clash until I seated my clutch pulling down a large dead pine tree. It had all but disappeared but I would get an occasional rub when accelerating to merge into traffic. I noticed that when shifting with this very straight shifter I tend to shift into third at a slight angle to the right. If I shift straight up (which feels like a slight movement to the left) I get no clash even under acceleration. In other words I was shifting with pressure towards the radio display. If I shift toward the volume/tuner knobs, no clash and easier shifting. So I looked at the shifter some more and sure enough, the shift towards the knobs although seeming to be a little to the left is straight up

. Somebody else with a six speed and clash want to try this and see if it works. Now that I've shifted this way for a while I don't really notice it. What made me think about it was a ten speed
