I am thinking of buying a 02 2500 HO CTD SLT 6sp 4x4 with 66K in the next couple of days from a dealer for $27,000 CAN Their asking 31 K and they just did a $2,500 front end work

Any pros or cons with this particular truck? Or should I wait for a 3rd gen or earlier 2nd gen truck?

It's all about personal preference when buying a truck. IMHO 31,000 is an aweful lot for that truck. I would bet you could get a pretty nice one similiar to it from the TDR ads that would have a few BOMBS already added for less money. I have seen quite a few 3rd gen trucks loaded up sell for the 27-30 range on my site. last month a dealer had a 03 3500 dually with a 6 speed and diesel and already chipped listed at 27,000. Plus I have heard the 02 models have some problems and less features than an 01 model... go figure... DC way of saving money. Best of luck whatever you decide

Thanks every one

I just found out that it has a 4 " exhaust and a EZD100 B mod along with the transfer and injector pump replace at 56K and it's going for 31K CAN not 27K as originally thought.

Is still a good deal?

not so much at $31K CAN. That's about 24,900K USD, right???? Retail around me for that truck is about $23K USD. They go for about $20K USD private party.

If you can get it for $27K CAN (21,700 USD) it is a decent deal but I think you can do better than $31K CAN.

Just my opinion, but its your money.

Thanks,

Jason
