Post pictures of lifted trucks

Alright, since I live in a small town and don't have access to stuff like this, can anyone out there with like a 2. 5" to 3" lift and 285's please post a picture? Or anything close to that would be fine. I just want to see how this is going to look,

One of these days I want to get new rims with more offset so I can run 33x12. 50 or something like that. First of all, is a 10" rim the way to go? And how much offset will I need so I don't rub? Will that skyjacker 2. 5" lift be enough to run 33's and look really good? Or should I go with a 3" or a 4"? i just need to get my hands on some pictures of lifted trucks.

i like the 10" rims alot!!as far as a 2. 5" skyjacker would work just fine... . i just need to lift the truck cuz when you go into steep driveway or something like that the tire tends to hit the fender... within the next 3 weeks i will have a new lift in

I have the same problem with my 33's hitting on sharp turns going to driveways and such. Been thinking of doing the 2. 5 lift from Skyjacker. I read on a previous thread that you may have to lengthen the front drive shaft. Any thoughts on that subject would be much appretiated!!

So what does lengthening the front driveshaft entail? I hope it's not complicated and/or expensive.

Hi CB

I don't know if its necessary to lengthen the drive shaft but it was mentioned in a thread you started a few days ago. It's not to complicated but it is an expence. You probably will need new shocks. My KYB's will only handle 1. 5" of lift.

This is my old truck (wish I still had it) I had the Skyjacker 2 1/2 over springs on the front nothing in the back. This picture is with 285 BFG AT's but I had 255 BFG MT's prior to that. If you had the wheels turned and hit a bump like pulling in a driveway too fast you could make the tires rub.

Here's mine 4" Skyjacker w/ rear springs, I'm going to change the rear blocks to make it sit about 1" higher.

CB, If you needed it lengthened, you could take it to a driveshaft shop. If the driveshaft is in good shape otherwise, they can cut out the old tube and replace it with a new piece at the necessary length. The DS shop in my area charges $58 to do this and re-balance the shaft.

Are those 33" tires you have in that picture? I don't know exactly how big 305's are. Do you have another picture? That one's kinda dark.



Did you have to do any expensive mods with the 4" lift? Did you have to lengthen the driveshaft or anything else?

They are 305-70-16s , they measure 32" .

I didn' have to do any driveshaft mods, I did go to the adjustable drag link and I have Superlift steering block but haven't put it on yet , hopefully that will take care of the bump steer.

The Skyjacker front springs come with a pretty severe shim on them to correct front driveshaft angle but it seems like I don't have enough positive caster , going to try a different shim.
