I want a post turbo EGT measurement. Can I weld an adapter on the exhaust pipe while it is on the truck without damaging anthing on the truck. I don't want to tap the exhaust brake.

Your exhaust brake should allready have a 1/4 npt opening in it. Just pull the plug out and screw the probe in. You can weld an adapter on the pipe but that will be getting too far from the turbo with the length of your exhaust brake. I like to be around 2" from the turbo to get a good post turbo reading.

Remember to disconnect the batteries before welding. Don't want to take a chance and fry any computers if you should have a poor ground with your welder.

Download the parts manual from http://www.jakebrake.com/service/pdf2/32416 Rev E.pdf

The picture on page 2 shows the EGT probe fitting on the bottom of the elbow.

OUTSTANDING !

I thank you for the great information. Instead of posting I should just ask you right off. I mean you have helped me with a few things now, the removal of the blocks on the axles, the installation of the superglide, the location of wiring diagrams and now this.

Thank you very much !
