Has anyone mounted a post turbo pyro on an '03? if so what type of mount did you use? I am looking at the Autometer probe that uses a band clamp so I would assume you just drill the hole in the downpipe and the probe goes in and the band clamp holds it in place going around the pipe. I understand the difference between pre and post pyros, thanks for any info.

How right you are. Try to get it close to the elbow. My VDO Pyro came with a drill and tap probe. Click on my "reader's rigs" link to the left and check it out...

Just put Autometer's in about a week ago. I drilled and tapped the top of the elbow about an inch back. The location I chose had more to do with where I could get my drill (and where I'd be able to turn the tap) than anything else. I wasn't too impressed with the clamp idea, it is a hose clamp, not something stronger.

350-450*F easing around town empty. 550-850*F towing.

I don't see a problem with the aircraft style clamps. They're stronger than they appear and tolerate heat better.
