Error Message

I have tried to post a picture in a thread reply. I see the box on the bottom that says "attach picture", then point to browse to pick my photo. It is less than 40k. When I go to preview my reply the picture isn't attached, then the file name square is blank again.

I also tried the "img" thingie but it points me to a web page URL. I am trying to upload a picture from my hard drive.

Any thoughts?

Juan

You should be able to attach an image right to your reply but the catch is it has to be very small (less than 32k). Generally if it is too big a window pops up and tell me so and the post is not made until I fix the problem.

Here is a picture I had on my desktop that I shrunk down small enough to attach.

That's my problem!

If you see from my original post, I can't attach even small pictures to my reply. I know it's something obvious, but???

I don't even get a pop up window telling me it didn't attach. If I preview, the file name disappears and no picture appears.

Juan,

You ain't the only one with that problem. It plainly states: "Browse" and goes to the local hard-drive. But it has never worked for me, no matter how small it is.

My pictures don't show up in the preview window either. Try right clicking on one of the two attached images, save it to your desktop and attach it to a post. We know they are the proper size to fit.

It works!

Now I'm less dumb than I was yesterday.

Seriously, it's been bugging me. Thanks to all for your help!

Juan

The problem you guys were probably having is that the picture you were trying to upload said 31k or 32k - 1k is 1024 bytes and the limit is 32,000 bytes - so a file that was listed as 32k could not be uploaded. If you look in the FAQ section here in the website/rountable forum there are FAQ's on resizing pictures, uploading pictures straight to the forums, and uploading pictures to your readers rigs album (where the limit is 122,000 bytes) and then linking to them in a post.
