Kawasaki KLR 650, Anybody have one?

My old Boss blew past me this morning at about 80 MPH, and gaining. So I followed him until he was doing about 95, I figgered he had the ol binder wound pretty tight, so I eased on down on the rest of the hammer! Blew past him HARD, SPA lights flashing like a Christmas tree!

It is awesome to still have acceleration at those speeds, and knowing you have room to go above 4000 rpm if need be.



I slowed down and let him pass me, as he was going to run 80 the rest of the way, I was not.

I got to work, he said 'What did you do to that truck!"



Just added a little fuel, that's all!:D

Hey Gene,

Have you changed your valve springs? I was just interested to see what other mods you have done for those Piers induced sewing machine revs :p

My truck is stock at 2500, and it sounds like it's wound for sound, 4000 whew! Top speed for you now is what... . 160+ ha ha.

Amsoil air filter. and lube



I have dynoed between 280 and 302. I know, chicken feed compared to the big guns, but a lot from 180.
 
So,,Now is your middle name "Breedlove" and when you got home did you paint "Spirit of America" across the tailgate,,Blame it on Piers,love to hear you tell the fuzz that one,,"Well you see Officer Jabloney,There's this madman out in western Canada that kidnapped my truck,,I think when he had it there he removed the throttle return spring or something,cause now it only ever wants to run wide open,I can't help it,ITS NOT MY FAULT,REALLY!!!,,And as the cuffs are slid into place and your looking for some kind member to bail you out,I'd be willing to guess that the Pump Doctor is smiling widely!!!!,,he he he he he,,... ... .....
