I have a red Cummins valve cover that I want to powder coat blue. I am going to bead blast the red off at work but my question is how do I protect the raised letters on the cover during the powder coat process. I want them to show through the color of the un painted cover ( silver ) not blue like the rest of the cover. Do I have to try and tape off all of the raised portion that I want left without powder? Is there an easier way to do it??
TIA
