I have noticed that there is very little in the forums about the Cummins Power Booster club. Any ideas about the Club and it's benefits from members? Thanks.

I used to be a member of the Cummins Power Booster Club, it cost me $17. 95 a year. The first time it was $20 or $25. You can be a lifetime member for $50. 00. Good for a 10% discount on parts. Since I have 12 valves and rarely need engine parts, in fact exactly zero in four years, it wasn't worth it for me. If you have a major purchase to make join up, it may pay for itself on the first purchase.

Here's a thread about it https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27537

Notice you have an Alaskan cabover, me too, love it. Don't see many around.

Power Booster

Illflem,

Thanks. On my 91. 5 I only needed valve cover gaskets and the little 'o' rings for the valve covers, not too bad for engine work I could do in eight years. For the rest of the truck... ..... there were expenses, however.

My only thoughts on why more people don't camp with Alaskans is the fact that they are more expensive than most pop ups and maybe the weight. But, the fact that they don't have canvas sides and don't feel like a pop up is a real advantage.

I maintain a membership. Mainly because of the discount. I buy all of my filters and oil through Cummins South. I haven't had to buy parts but have purchased some because I wanted to change them (lift pump, sensors) so I've made out a little by being a member. Their newsletter is pretty informative and if you need the diesel tech line, there used to be a priority for members.

Cummins Power Boosters

jmtandem,

I just picked up a Cummins Power Boosters application form from Cummins Intermountain in Las Vegas. The current rates are$40/yr or $75/3yrs. It mentions discounts but doesn't say how much. At 10%, it would pay for itself (1yr anyways) on say a $730 Jacobs exhaust brake.

The application doesn't list a website but has a toll free number, 1-800-851-4317. Your nearest Cummins Intermountain branch is at 150 Glendale Ave, Sparks, NV, (7--)331-4983.

I haven't yet decided if it's worth it for me to join.

Regards,

Neil

Looks like it is only $20 per year...

I'm thinking about joining in AZ, where it is only a one time fee of $50: :D

Is there a Rocky Mountain Power Boosters member out there who wants to refer me?

"If you tell a friend about the club, and they join and list your name as the referring member, you will receive:

Pewter Cummins Power Keychain and pair of Cummins decals for 1st Referral

Stainless Steel Cummins Travel Mug for 2nd Referral

$ 25 Parts or Service Credit for 3rd Referral"

Let me know here or PM me. Oo.

Hey Greg, I'm a PowerBoosters member in Sacramento, CA :D I've got my card out in my truck, I'd have to get the number off it tonight, but I'd be happy to let you use my name as a referal if they'd accept it.

I got my membership last summer, and I think it was ~$45 for 3 years. I didn't know there was a life membership, so I didn't ask, but the application form I filled out certainly didn't mention that...
