I put a new master cylinder (napa ) on my 1991 diesel w250 and it worked fine for a while but now my brake pedal goes to the floor if the truck sits for a few days . The master cylinder is full of fluid and not leaking . I heard there was a kit from a 1996 model for the power booster that can be installed on my power booster. Has anybody heard of this problem and where can i get the kit to fix it ????

If the pedal goes to the floor the master cylinder is bad or has air in it. The booster is not the problem.

If you listen closely If your booster is bad you can here air escapeing from it my guess its a bad one the diaphram in it went bad

This is a common problem with rebuilt boosters. . I explained it a few weeks back in one of my other posts.

I have all the parts and some custom made rings that I make that allow the booster to be bolted back together instead of crimping it. I am currently making a video on how to rebuild your booster. Stay tuned for more or call me on the phone for further questions.

Wouldn't the sound be air trying to get inside the booster since it's under a vacuum inside? Not trying to be a smarty... just askin.

Id say escaping since its suppose tobe pulling a vaccumme but could be entering , but reguardless if you here a hiss or air its bad
