anyone out there know the best way to test the vacume booster

93 CTD 4X4 cc

Hook up a vacuum gauge and see if/ how fast it leaks down. be sure to plug off the other ports comig out of the check valve. If I'm not mistaken, there is only one diaphragm in there that can rupture, come loose at the edges, etc.

Aren't our truck's brakes boosted hydraulically from the power steering pump?

Our trucks brake booster is vacuum powered.



But some have upgraded to the later power steering booster setup.
