2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission power door lock motor

Driver side power lock finally gave up working on me this am>So i pull it apart and it looks to be a sealed unit. door lock mecinisim and power lock motor all in one. I checked the 2 feeders to it and 12v on one at a time and a good ground to lock so its junk. Tryed spraying with wd40 and nothing. I asume its a dealer item only and about 250. 00 dollars for this plastic piece of crap unit thats broke way before its time. Anyone have any sources for one and an idea how much i should pay?

Salvage yard should have something as generic as that. Almost every truck has'em.

I will call around on mon but i never see any dodge trucks in the bone yards down here in ma. I have no idea where the all go?Probably to the crusher cause its such a P. I. T. A. to get dodge parts.

They don't have time to sit around in junk yards all day.

I just replaced it on mine. About $90 and I couldn't find it anywhere but Dodge.

When they die, they're dead - none of the usual electrical cleaners or other tricks seem to revive them.



It is a one-piece unit with the latch - part was less than $80 when I replaced the passenger side one in my '96.



The swap was easy as pie - even the connectors are colour coded now!
