Power Door Lock Trouble

I can not find any problem in the system.



Anyone have any ideas?

When they don't work are both switches not working? The answer will help isolate the problem.

When they don't work the drivers side does not work at all, the passager side works only to unlock. Wait a few mins they both work great.

It's scary that all of these "weird" problems that I seem to have on my truck, I read about them within days an the TDR... I have the same symptoms--and they just started. "sometimes they unlock, and sometimes they don't"--and that's both sides.....

It sounds like a ground problem to me. I worked in an auto-glass shop about 25 years ago, and power window/lock grounding problems can be very tricky to find.



In our Dodges, the Door locks are wired to be always on, without regard to whether the key is on or not. Do you have a wiring diagram? Have you pulled the inner door panels off and had a good look and feel in there? When-they-don't-work is a good time to do some testing.
