Power edge comp & 275 RV inj. make 401 HP

Just thought i'd share these numbers : dynojet 401. 9 hp & 851 ft. lbs. With 275 RV injectors I felt these were impressive numbers. Backed that up with a few runs down the dragstrip, the best resulting in a 14. 37 @ 94. 30 mph.

wayne thats a pretty impressive dyno number , i'm only 10 hp higher with dd3's , i've felt my number was a little low . is your comp one of the special ones ???

that time i'll assume is traction limited ? your lighter weight and that mph should have you in the 13's , i'm running that time almost 3 mph slower in a 2500 4x4 ...

John i'm very traction limited , I can only launch the truck from idle. I used to launch with 5 lbs boost , no more the tires just go up in smoke now. As for the mph. from what I understand Bill's converter is designed not to lock under w. o. t. if I did lock it i'd probably get another 2-3 mph, but at what cost :(

wayne , its not that its designed not to lock , there is a delay due to its design. it will lock , but it happens at about 1000ft . mine always locks when i have the tc saver disconnected .

i think at the point iot does lockup we are high enough in RPms that the torque is on the downside , torque is the enemy of the dodge TC clutch ... besides , with a DTT tc , lockup is not that big a deal ...

Mopar, do you run with the TC saver disconnected all the time when at the strip? How does it do with no lockup at all? In other words turn the pot all the way to keep it out of lockup.

fred , i don't think i ran it with the TC saver installed in the truck . didn't race much this past season because of my EGT problem , couldn't get any faster because of it so i didn't go .

i will try it out next season and see the difference locked vs unlocked . as far as turning the pot , no need , once i hit the throttle it don't come off the floor till i'm thru the traps .
