My 1995 2500 4x4 5-speed has a #6 plate, Industrial injection turbo that has the wastegate set at about 40lbs, ATS 3-piece exhaust manifold, 4" straight-piped, and AFE cold-air intake. It has tremendous amounts of power but on the highway today I punched it and the power seemed to just drop off at about 2,250 rpm. I was thinking it might need a 3k spring kit, but I'm not sure... Thanks guys.

im not a bettin man but i would put a paycheck that would fix her;) that pump stops fueling right in that area, i would opt for the 4k kit, but thats just me.

The 3K kit I put in my '98 was like I was drivin' a sports car. I got it to help with pulling the RV up to speed on on-ramps but liked the performance so well I kept putting my foot in it. Watch for EGT's to climb though. They drop right off again when you back off.

This problem could be your governor wearing and getting loose. Your swivel lever and tensioning lever has a tendancy in the P7100 pump to wear sooner than normal expectations. This would cause the gov. to loose rpm and there fore loose power earlier in the rpm range. But 3K or 4K why not?
