Does anyone know whether the wiring for the factory power, heated mirrors is present on trucks equipped with the flip-up towing mirrors? I'm thinking of changing and want to be sure before I buy.

How old is your truck, you are suppost to be able to choose either mirror at no cost. Go back to your selling dealer. I went for the heated adjustable and use slip on towing mirrors. Goes in the garage easier, I snowmobile (heat is good), and like the remote adjustments. SNOKING

It's a 2001 but I bought it used. My local stealer (OOPS - I mean dealer) didn't sell it so I'll get no price break from him. Besides, why pay the dealer to do something that should be simple as long as the wiring is pre-existing?

Chrome mirrors only fit the '94-'97 trucks. '98 & up came with black power, heated mirrors. There is a set in the classifieds for $100. That's the best price I've seen yet. (Technically, they will fit but the harness won't plug in. )

To check, remove the screw on your inner door panel near where the mirror is attached. Look for the harness (you might have to pop a few clips loose from the door). I think the harness will be there, especially if it is a SLT.
