Do you run red diesel?

Who's been checked for offroad fuel?

I've seen a few short dyno run sheets, but it'd be fun to look at the numbers from a whole bunch of folks. So here it is --the hp poll.

and please-no wagering.

Dynoed in May w/ a Comp & DDII's. Hit 380 HP (805 ft lb. s Torque) I have since added a PDR HX35 and a Bullydog 5". It probably hasn't added that much more so I'm around 400 I think.

C-code (1/2 ton) 1985 NA 6. 2L with 275K, J-code pump (3/4 ton/1 ton) turned up to maybe 46-48mm3/stroke, and I'd estimate I'm getting around 100hp to the ground. A stock C-code engine nets 130hp, and a stock J-code 150. Y'all better get outta my way! :D

I have only dynoed once, about a year ago. Had everything that is on the truck now, except had an EZ instead of the hot Comp that I have now. Then, I hit 368 HP @ 800 #'s torque.

I'm helping to get another dyno, at the same shop, for late October. I speculate that with the Comp, I am in the neighborhood of 400 - 410 HP and 850 - 900 #'s now.

--- Nice to see a fellow Rush fan on the site. I've got tickets to see them in Sacramento in mid September. Haven't seen them since the P/G tour back in ..... 1984 I think??

Tom

I just saw them for the first time at the Tweeter Center in Mansfield MA on July 12, and they're coming back to Boston Oct 28 so I'll be there too. Incredible, is all I can say... . it was even better than Styx & Kansas in OK City 6 years back.

I saw RUSH for their Moving Pictures, Grace Under Pressure, and Test for Echo tour. One of my favorite all time bands. Neil Peart sure can write some lyrics.

Neil is not a bad author either. I picked up his book "The Masked Rider" at the Test for Echo show. Its a good read. That man has been through hell the past few years.

This subject changed quick, huh..... :D

I only dynoed once, that was back when I had the BD 3's and the EZ. Since then I've added the TST PM3 comp. box and swaped out the 3's for 5's. I made 366 RWP with the 3's. I voted 400-450 as a conservative guess with the 5's and TST. Whatever I have... is more than enough for me.

Hummins Cummins,

Do you have a ISBN number for that book? I wonder if I can order it online? What did Neil go through? I was not aware of his problems.

I voted for 400 to 450 HP with my mods. I won't be able to verify until I dyno on 9/21 in Dallas.

Charles

WOW! of 150 polled...

78% of respondents have performance BOMBs.

32% are running 350 or better HP.

17% are 400+

Keep up the good work and like on the other thread

ALL HAIL THE CUMMINS!

Completely stock in the power. I still think it's a kick but truck. I've driven bombed (r. ebel) and I'm convinced to do it. I'm working on a bomb budjet.

Just a guess...

I voted in the 250 - 350 range. From what I've heard from another guy with the same set-up as me (I think), he dyno'd at 298 h. p. at the rear tires. I don't know about the torque. I'm guessing about 625? I suppose my truck makes about 290 to 300 h. p. and about 625 torque with 275's and an EZ with boost elbow. Does that sound about right?

It runs well, and throttle response is super crisp, and I can still get 21 mpg cruisin' the interstate at 70 mph. I could donate a lot more money to bombing but don't feel I need any more. And I don't want to do the clutch anytime soon.
