Anyone have any feedback on the Power puck used on a 99-00 year truck, looks like one setting for these years, is it worth it

We put one on a friends truck today, seems like a good upgrade to start, little extra fuel to work with, he likes it

I put one on my 2001. 5 in January of this year. It was one of the plastic cased versions as opposed to the original aluminum case designs. Several Internet dealers were "white saleing" them off - I paid $165 including shipping for mine. It's about a 50 HP and I'll guess 120 foot pounds jump over stock. The unit includes a boost fooler and installs in 10 minutes once you figure out where the connectors are that you plug it into. The power starts to come in about 1500 RPM and is noticably stronger than stock up through 2400 RPM. My stock clutch with 125K miles is handling it well. I tow a 13. 5K 5er and this mild upgrade works very well. I turned the stock hx-35 turbo up to 28 pounds of boost and preturbo EGTs haven't hit 1300 yet. I'm very pleased with the results.

Power Puck

Hi Gang;

Had one for 3 years and it died on me. (no longer was feeling it in the seat of the pants. ) Had it tested on a rear wheel dino. without it 195 hp at the rear wheels with it 197 hp. So i tookit off. Just bought another one from summit for $205. at first it felt like it was pulling better. and after about 1500mi it has fallen flat again, and it actualy ran better after I disconnected it and went back to stock. . (I guess i'll stay that way till I can get a smarty. )

i called Summit to complain but they said sorry there is no return policy for electric stuff. :mad: "Ironbutt"

Put one of my buddies '02 dually. It brought his fuel mileage up, did give a noticable power increase, did make the truck smoke. All and all, he's happy with it. I wish they had the Predator programer for the 2nd Gen's, but I guess we will have to wait.
