My power seat just puked, and I don't have a clue about where to start. I was planning on leaving town on Monday, but that won't happen now. Unfortunately, I had the seat moved all the way forward to get to something in the back seat. I'm 6'1" and can hardly wedge myself between the seat and steering wheel. According to the manual there are two 30 amp breakers for the seat motors. I found them but can't figure out how to remove them from the panel to check them. I'm probably not lucky enough to have it be a breaker. The motor that moves the seat forward and backward has sounded pretty sick and weak for about a year, so I'm guessing that's it. The other seat functions have worked just fine. Currently, none of the seat functions are working, so that's why I thought it might be a fuse or breaker. Is there any way to manually engage the motor? Any suggestions short of hobbling to the dealer would be appreciated.

Thanks for your response. I'll tag that web site. As it turns out, the switch is the problem. The part costs $170 and is on back order. I bit the bullet and went to the dealer this morning as the truck really isn't safe for me to drive the way it is. . The truck was pretty dangerous to drive even for 3 miles to the dealer. They diagnosed the problem and screwed around with the switch until the seat was all the way back to where it was. It cost $90 to diagnose the problem and get the seat adjusted. They offered to install the new switch for $35 when it comes in. I feel pretty lucky to have them fit me in on a Saturday and get the problem semi-fixed. I may just disconnect the power to the seat and leave it that way. I am usually pretty fast to bad mouth the dealer, but they really treated me right on this. I still would not have them work on the engine as I have a couple reliable sources pretty close to me.
