Has anyone out there installed a power passenger seat in place of the manual one? I need some direction before I jump out and order components for my '06 Laramie.

Well I never got any response to this so I just dove in and ordered the seat track and switch from Caldwell.

It took about 10 days to get the parts, then I found that I needed the harness to the switch. I got that via the local Chrysler dealer. With everything in hand I was able to fabricate a few parts and the rest of the harness and put it all together in about 6 hours total time and at a cost of under $450. It looks like a factory install.

Mama's happier now, she has her own buttons to push.

Total items purchased were the seat track (with 3 motors, etc. ), the switch and bezel for it. Then I bought the one harness that connects to the switch. I made up a metal mounting box (for want of a better term), and a harness to connect the motors to the switch harness. I extended to power supply and ground wires and adapted them to insert into the existing seat heater connector where the 12v + and ground wires were located. I used materials at hand for most everything.

That was about it. I did study the manual for about 2 weeks but it was a lot easier once I started.
