Power Seats

Why does the Lariame only come with a 6 way power seat on the passeger side?? 10 way on the drivers side, couldn't cost that much more for the passenger seat. Just thinking out loud.

Maybe the designers/engineers assume that the passenger can move around more to get comfortable than the driver. Driver and passenger power seats is one of several reasons we buy the Laramie trim level.

Maybe they will come out with twin, 10-way power seats in 2011 thinking everyone will trade up again! We just bought a 2010 and are not to happy with the 6-way seat. In my opinion the 6 way seat is really a 4-way seat, ie, the seat moves forward and backwards and the back of the seat tilts forwards and backwards. I guess Chrysler counts the lumbar movement in and out to come up with a 6-way seat. I've been tricked again!

Isn't the tire jack under the passenger seat? That may have something to do with it.

Not sure if the jack is under the 2010 Laramie passenger seat (truck is being prepped by dealer). However, the 2006 Laramie I traded-in had the jack under the seat and the seat would raise up and down which the 2010 will not. My guess is its about cost reduction.

At least yours is being prepped, mine is on a darn train someplace north of El Paso.
