Power Service Additive/How long will it keep.

Decided here recently to try it out, readily available at Walmart etc. My question is how long would the Power Service be good for after bottle has been opened (plastic seal broken) got the 96oz bottle. I have a bottle of Sta-bil I use in my gas lawn mower an it says good for two year's after bottle has been opened. Also what dosage is every one using, I have the shortbed with the 34 gallon tank. Normally wait till around 1/4 mark to fill up.

Tony, the best thing to do on such a question is to go to the source - Power Service Products - and ask for Brian, their tech support guy. He has been very helpful and informative for me.

I do not know how long it will last as I add 2oz. for every 5 gallons of diesel. At that rate I do not believe I have an opened bottle long enough that it matters.

I add 8 oz at every fillup. I bought some 8 oz plastic bottles from REI that seal up really well, and carry about 4-6 of them in my tool box. Just dump in a whole bottle at each fillup. I go through a gallon of the PS about every 6 months or so.

I'm half curious myself. But I use a 96oz jug about once a month. I mix one jug to 180 gallons. I used to use Stanadyne but at -20 it will freeze. Hopefully the PS doesn't freeze. I need it to keep my fuel liquid at temps that can hit -40 or -50 sometimes.
