Power slider broke!

The power rear slider on my '06 Mega broke the other day. The plastic where the cable attaches on the left side broke. The window will open, but I have to close it manually. The cables look OK. Can the slider section be replaced by separately and, if so, can it be done by a shadetree mechanic like me? Or...can the plastic piece that broke just be replaced?

I am in the same boat. Exact same problem. Mine will not open but will stay closed. When I opened it today, it popped and I knew I was in trouble. How did you resolve yours? I found another thread on a different forum where this guy bought the parts from the dealer and had All Star Glass pop the slider out and put in the new piece. This poster did not tell what P/N it was and a few have asked since.
