Dad finally made me jealous. He bought a 06 Tundra with the power rear window... . its badass. I have a 2005 2500 Ram with no sliding rear window and my arms aren't long enough to reach the rear window so I can open it. I saw someone installed an aftermarket electronic sliding rear window. I now need one. I did a search, but there are way to many posts to go thru. Can someone lead me in the right direction.

Thanks

Bob

There is a company called CR Laurence that makes them as well. Have heard many good things about them just never have got around to getting one. I know they have them for 2nd gens dont know about later models never looked since I dont have one.

My freinds 06 Dodge has one (side to side) so you could probably get one from the dealer along with the factory switch to activate it.

Maybe -

but at least mine moves so crummy - I mean so stiff and not smooth - I think it would have to be designed from the beginning to move easily... ...

i wonder if a linear actuator could be put somehow on the stock rear sliding glass???

That's basically what the CR Laurence one does. Pics of my install in my reader's rigs. I really like it.

When I was at work ( Chrysler Engineering ) I asked the planners to go and develop an up/down window as well as some other things but it didn't get done because of other items. I was hoping that we would lead the parade.
