tonight i went to a parking lot and did some very nice donuts. then i went home to hook up my trailer and when i was pullin out of my pasture i had to cut the wheel all the way to the left when i did i felt a clunkin in my steering wheel and when i hit the brakes i could feel it in the pedal, i also could hear it. i looked under the hood at the power steering pump and there was a little fluid runnin down the hose . has anyone had this happen b4 ? and do u think it could have been from the donuts i was doing earlyer. ? ( i would cut the wheel and sometimes tap the brakes to get it to really whip around)

My power steerin pump went out at 22,640 miles. Drove around town doing errands stopped at Popeyes for some chicken came back out to go to Wal-Mart and the pump took a dump. I noticed the brakes didn't work as well on the way to the dealer, but I didn't tell the wife that until I got to the dealer after running a yellowish colored red light. Ha! It was replaced under warranty for free. Service writer said it would have cost about $300. 00 out of warranty.

I dont think the dounuts had anything to do with it.

Hope this helps :)

well the only reason i thought the donuts did it is because i was holden the rpm at about 2800 to 3000. that pulley on the pump was really kickin, i would feather the brakes to help it spin also and there all hooked together ( power steering and brakes)

but i appretiate the reply i didnt think i was goin to get one when i checked it the other day. ( i have 48000 miles )
