Power Steering fluid check

Stock 1995 2500 Automatic and i need to chech the power steering fluid. My Factory service manual is at my son's house 90 miles away. How do check the power steering fluid.

Most including mine have a dipstick attached to the fill cap.

Like this, it will have an add, cold and hot mark on it.

The reservoir is located driver side, below the injection pump. Messy to fill. I brought a funnel and attached a piece of 1/2” rubber house about 16” long.

Knowing the power steering doesn't take very much fluid, I like to fill the funnel up so it pours all over the engine, starter, and driveway. That's how I know it's filled.

LOL! Your post is worthless without pictures of (1) the mess and (2) you wearing the BTDT t-shirt as proof. (I, too, have one of those shirts, but it's in tatters now.)

Lol! It's amazing how those shirts get worn out. I will be sure to take pictures next time. We all know there WILL be a next time.
