Anyone change PS fluid?? Is there a filter anywhere??

Mine seems to be changing (like burning)... at 85k.

How easy is the change... figure I'm going to pull a hose and "flush" the system...

I just pull off one of the hoses underneath connected to the cooler. Think the one closer to the outside of truck lets more of the old stuff out. Then refill!!

I use a suction gun to empty the reservoir and then refill it with fresh. Drive it for a day to mix it together, then repeat. By doing this every day for a week you'll replace the vast majority of the fluid with new, although it will take more ATF+4 than just draining would (check out Valvoline ATF+4 for $4/quart at VatoZone).

That's what I did with the 99, but figured it wouldn't do much since there is significantly more volume of fluid in the newer system (bigger resevoir and a cooler)...
