Drove my truck to california from Alabama, the power steering hose busted in elpaso TX at 4000 miles . The dodge dealer there said he had seen quite a few that had busted, anyone else have this problem?

I love the truck and the way it tows My RV.

I second the motion - where did it break. I was under my truck today looking at the power steering fluid cooler. I was thinking to myself that it was not the sturdiest looking assembly.....

The hose cracked (Broke) where it goes into the power steering reservoir, I could not get Dodge roadside to find Me a tow truck that could tow me and My RV to the dealership, so I had to drive and tow with out power steering or brakes.

Westway Dodge in elpaso was great and had Us ready to go the next day.

I didn't see where mine broke, it was at night and roadside came and got it. It sure wasn't fun driving without powersteering though

Hey Guys!'

Was it the high pressure line, or the low pressure hose clamped return line that broke? I just got through re-routing my low pressure cooler lines around the sides of the radiator vs having the hard lines looping down under the radiator. Will be putting on skid plate to protect the bottom edge of the radiator next. Can't believe on a 4x4 they had that design!!!!!!!!!! The cooler lines looked like a target for the first rock/stump/rabbit to take out.

randyn is right. The way the PS hoses are routed is goofy at best. We've made a drawing of a skid we're gonna make but just haven't made one yet. A good & strong skid should work fine without having to re-route the hoses.
