Took my '03 in to get a few things looked at, one of them being a vibration at 2000rpm. I see there is a TSB for this and my truck seems to match the symptoms (worse with a/c on). The dealer said that TSB doesn't apply to my truck. I read it as applicable to all 2003 Diesel Rams yet they showed me their computer and when they input my VIN that TSB number doesn't come up. They said they won't do the fix because it's not listed for my VIN.

My truck was built in Feb '03. Anyone know why that TSB wouldn't show up as applicable?

For what it's worth, these same yahoo's said they fixed the random "check gauges" light only to have it (and the low washer fluid) come back on two days later. They also set two codes in the process, P0630 and P0633. My truck had never set any codes before until the dealer got ahold of it.

If your truck doesn't have the PS hose with the big honkin' damper on it, then it should get the new part. I found it to be a surprisingly effective fix.

When I went in the service "advisor" gave me the same grief. I had to corner the head mechanic to get it done.

Did the new hose help? I have a vibration in the steering wheel from idle to redline. My hose does not have a damper and dealer said the vibration was normal. I'll put the hose myself if it helps.

Thanks David
