Is pressure normal in the power steering reservoir? When I remove the fill cap I release the pressure. I also have a leak on the high pressure line on the pump. (On the high pressure fitting and I replaced the o-ring last night still leaks)

Same problem

my 06 seems to have the same problem. I've had it to the dealer 3 times now to fix the problem, each time they have a different answer. First they replaced the steering box. Then said it was overfilled. The last time they said with the increase in temperatures, the pressure increased, resulting in more leaking. We'll see what happens the rest of the summer. I have approx. 9k miles.

Well i have had just about tho whole front end replaced on mine, ball joints 4 each, tie rods, shocks and now I have to fix this. Oh well. Thanks for your reply.

My cap also holds some pressure (hear it release when I open the cap). I think it's normal, to an extent. Some people have reported repeatedly losing their cap.

I stopped by my local dealer and talked with the service writer, he explained that they replace a few hose (High Pressure side) and that normaly fixxes the leak. I ordered both lines and installed them today. I have drove about 30 miles in the city and seems to have fixxed it. He also stated that pressure in the reservoir is nomal. Thanks for the reply

Is it the hose, or the ends on the hose that ultimately fixed the leak?

KO

It was the fitting on the hose, but you need to replace the hose. I tried to use new o-rings (with no luck). New hose fixxed it.
