Help, can someone tell me wich port on the steering gear box is the pressure and wich is the return. I repalced my steering gear with a psc and now I have no steering. maybe I put the lines on wrong either that or the steering box is going back.

thanks

JFigura,

Don't get to excited yet, out of the two lines there is one that has a metal 90 degree bend tube and that has to be towards the front of the truck, and the other one behind it. I have a psc gear box and I was a little excited at first too. You have to fill the power sterring pump and let it run for 5 mins and dont touch the wheel. The fluid will foam, its trying to get the air out. Let the truck sit for about 10-15 mins and then start it up and turn the wheel little by little to get things moving. top off fluid and enjoy.

If you have any questions PM me and i will help you.

silverram, The pressure line is the one with the crimped fittings thats the one i have towards the front of the truck mine is bent at a 90 and then comes back at like a 180 towards the back of the truck. the return line just has hose clamps on it and is hooked to the fitting towards the rear of truck. I still can not get any steering brakes are working but feel kinda funny any ideas also I put a new power steering pump on.

thanks

Does the P/S pump make grinding noises? Did you put something in wrong with the P/S pump? To change a gear box all you have to do is losen the frame bolts then take the line off and then take the shaft off. Put new pump on in reverse order. Fill with new P/S fluid run truck for a few, and then let sit for a few and top off. Im not sure what you have going on here.

Where do you live? Where is your SIG???
