Mine and my brothers trucks have leaks both from our vacuum pumps and power steering pumps(both '96's). We have the cummins vacuum pump seal kits- and my brother has already begun to install his. We noticed that the power steering pump is leaking fluid at the shaft as well. We have a kit to install it but are missing English directions(but have French  ).

I've searched all morning and have not found any threads recommending a set of procedures for replacing the seal. Has anyone replaced the power steering pump seal while replacing the vacuum pump seal? Are there any tricks to it?

Also, I have a '95 CTD. Does anyone know if the vacuum pump seal kit from Cummins is the same part number as the '96 and up? The pump is a little different.

If you have a three piece pump you will need to source the oring that doesn't come with the cummins kit ... there are three orings in the three piece pump and two in the two piece pumps ...

Willys, as far as the French directions, I would try this site and translate it to English as a last resort.

Here is an example that I typed in it for translation.

How do you install a vacuum pump kit on the Cummins engine.

Comment vous installez un kit de pompe de vide sur le moteur de Cummins.
