Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Erratic Fuel Pressure

I have a engine oil leak around the power steering pump shaft where it slides into the engine accessary gears below the VP-44. I have removed the PS pump and slide it rearward out of the way. The shaft is about 1" dia. and faces forward through a ruber and metal ring seal that keeps the engine oil on the shaft and gears side of this assy. connection.

I need to remove this shaft recepticle connection assy. that has two bolts facing forward mounting to the aft side of the accesory gear case.

THE QUESTION?

Can I remove this next assy. to gain access to this seal without any surprises like droping any shaft key or messing up gear alignment?

As always, Thanks to all of you who have helped me in the past!
