I had a bad pump leak and have installed a new pump, I have drained all the lines, but know fluid is in the steering unit. When the pump went dry all i had to put in it was synthetic power steering fluid. pump went dry again and i put a leak stop in, so now stock fluid, synthetic and mechanic in a can. How much fluid is in the pump and will it hurt to put fresh synthetic in and run it?

I'm confused about what you did, and confused what the question is. Are you asking if it's alright to fill the new pump with synthetic even though there's some stop leak, synthetic, and stock fluid remaining in the steering gear? If so, I think it's fine to do this. All these fluids should be compatible.
