2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission power steering pump

OK I call advance auto looking for a p/s pump the guy asked me if it has a Magna pure filter on it. I told him I didn't think so and he said I would know if it had one on it. Anyone know what it would look like? Also if if doesn't have it would it be a good idea to put an inline filter on the new pump? Autozone has one for around $20. Thanks Adam

They are an inline filter, they use magnetic action to trap particles.
Check the lines between the PS pump and the box. They probably aren't a bad idea if you are installing new box or pump.
