Internet driveshaft source?

Is anybody running a direct mount gear driven power steering pump such as a vickers v10 or a zf pump. I am cosidering ditching the stock vac pump/power steering pump setup in favor of one of these and going hydro boost.
 
Why do you need to change to go to Hydroboost? I am running a stock PS pump with a Gutted Vac pump and I have Hydroboost and it stops WAY better then it used to.
 
Well I thought I would get rid of any potential oil leaks, broken drive stubs as well as clean it up somewhat in that area. Also I have read that these vac pumps tend to be more problematic in colder climates and if loades alot during hard steering such as plowing
 
I think the notion of the Hydra -boost not performing well in cold cimate is a myth . right after i bought my 92 I pushed snow with the oil pan and it never spun a wheel and handled fine . The guys up in Alaka and Canada is running the same setups with out fail and so is Timo in Finland in his Artic conditions on his burb ,



Butif you got money burning a hole in your pocket any thing can be done with enough cash .
 
Well I weouldnt say I got money burning a hole in my pocket :-laf but the direct mount pumps came stock on ford medium duty as well as freightliner medium dutys with the ctd 5. 9 and are pretty cheap to get but didnt know about flow rates and operating pressures as compared to a stock p/s pump from a 78 k20. I am concerned about blowing out seals on the hydroboost unit/ps box. :eek:
 
Then if thats the case run the dodge unit as its the same power steering unit as the GM one is gear driven the other is not . The tank resevors enterchange as does the internal parts , there both made by the same company , That hydraboost unit really dont care how it gets its fluid as long as its there though , my self i like the simplicity for parts option incase some thing was to break in who knows were for ease of parts finding on the self
