2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission power steering question

I have both a '97 and '05 Dodge 2500 diesel trucks. The '05 steering is so much more responsive. Does any one know if the steering gear box is interchangable between those year models?

Not sure if they interchage but I replaced my stock box with a AGR 2 box from summit racing for $325. 00 and what a difference-- one finger steering with 35" bfg's. well worth the money. Factory box is more $$$$.

On you '97 you need to clean the screen in the PS pump first, that will make a difference in both steering and braking.
